De met metaal versterkte beschermkap is gemaakt van roestvrij staal. Ze gaat vijf keer langer mee dan een gewone beschermkap. Hierdoor is er minder onderhoud nodig als je de doorslijper vaak op volle snijdiepte gebruikt en kan je langer ononderbroken doorwerken. De kap beschermt tegen slijtage aan de voor- en zijkant en bij schuine sneden. Ze is compatibel met de benzinedoorslijper STIHL TS 910i.
